The Vikings are remembered not only for their warrior deeds but also for their frequent celebrations, during which they enjoyed plenty of food, drink, and music. They were known for their large appetites, and the dining table was always filled with an abundance of meat, fish, root vegetables, berries, and grains. Various gatherings were important events where people ate plentifully and drank beer. The Vikings were also skilled fishermen and hunters, so they easily obtained fresh food. The Viking diet was quite diverse, though it depended on the seasons and available resources. Nonetheless, they were resourceful in cooking and knew how to prepare delicious meals from the ingredients they had.

We landed in Lahti in 2009, and ever since, our pot watchers have been cooking, simmering, mixing, and conjuring delicacies with great heart for the city’s residents and folks from neighboring villages. We prepare our dishes with care and quality and serve our customers with professionalism, always seasoned with the right amount of humor. Our restaurant in Lahti is a popular place not just for families and groups of friends, but also for corporate events and organizing celebrations. Harald offers a suitable menu and drinks for private events, whether you are with colleagues or among friends and relatives!
Private spaces for larger groups
Our restaurant in Lahti has a total of 150 seats, divided between the main dining room and separate private rooms. The restaurant features the Tori Room, suitable for 12 people, and the Aigiri Room, which can accommodate up to 40 people. In the front hall, we have a Wine Room suitable for 16-18 people, which is separated from the rest of the hall by small walls. It is also possible to enjoy a meal with your own group in the village marketplace area, which can accommodate 20-30 people.
If you wish to book the Tori or Aigiri cabinet, it is possible for groups of at least 10 people for the price of a meal. For reservations of fewer than 10 people, the cabinet rental is €30 per hour. For meetings, the cabinets are equipped with a video projector, a screen, and a flipchart. Harald also offers free wireless internet.
